Information we collect

- Contact details — your name, email address, telephone number and postal address when you get in touch, book an appointment or use our contact or callback forms.
- Estate planning information — details about your family, assets, wishes and circumstances that you share with us so we can prepare your documents.
- Health Check responses — if you use our AI Estate Planning Health Check, we collect the answers you provide and your name and email address.
- Website usage — we may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how people use our website so we can improve it. This data is anonymised where possible.
- Corporate programme information — if your employer offers our services as an employee benefit, we may receive your name and contact details from your employer to arrange the service.
How we use your information
We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was provided:
- To provide the estate planning services you have asked for, including preparing Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and related documents.
- To respond to enquiries, arrange appointments and manage our relationship with you.
- To generate and deliver your AI Health Check results and follow up with relevant guidance.
- To send you information about our services where you have given consent or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal information on one or more of the following lawful bases:
- Contract — where processing is necessary to provide the services you have engaged us for.
- Consent — where you have given clear consent, for example by submitting a form or opting in to communications.
- Legitimate interest — where we have a genuine business reason to process your data (such as improving our services) and this does not override your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to process data by law.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Our sister company, The Health Insurance Group, where you have expressed interest in family financial protection and have consented to being introduced.
- Professional partners or regulatory bodies where required to deliver our services or comply with the law.
- Technology providers who help us run our website and systems, under strict data processing agreements.
How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Estate planning records are typically retained for a minimum of six years after the end of our engagement, or longer where required. Website enquiry data is kept for up to two years unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct any inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information where there is no compelling reason for us to continue holding it.
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
